The project involved the removal and disposal of the existing 2.5-ton air handler and condenser, followed by the installation of a high-performance 2.5-ton straight cool condenser and air handler. Our team meticulously flushed the refrigerant piping with a specialized agent, purged it with nitrogen, and installed a 5KW auxiliary heat system for enhanced functionality. To ensure compliance and durability, we added a new condenser pad, hurricane anchors, silver locking caps, redundant overflow safety switches, and heat shields. Damaged or missing pipe insulation was replaced with premium Armor Flex, and all components were sealed to meet or exceed local building codes.
This advanced system achieved a 19.2% improvement in energy efficiency, delivering significant energy savings compared to older systems. The installation is backed by a 10-year manufacturer’s parts warranty, a 5-year contractor labor warranty, and a complimentary one-year maintenance membership, ensuring long-term reliability and peace of mind. The project package included all materials, crane services, and expert labor, along with a straight cool thermostat for precise temperature control. Every detail, from model and serial numbers to installation photos and air handler closet measurements, was thoroughly documented to ensure a seamless and professional upgrade.
