At Momentum AC, we pride ourselves on transforming outdated HVAC systems into efficient, reliable solutions for our clients. In this project, our team expertly handled the removal and elimination of outdated copper lines associated with an aging HVAC system in a residential home. We meticulously documented all relevant details, including model and serial numbers of each unit and their exact locations within the property. Our commitment to thoroughness ensured that any unlabeled units were appropriately tagged, and we captured detailed photographs of essential components such as the air handler, condenser, breaker box, and disconnect box, providing our clients with a comprehensive record of the upgraded system.
Our journey began with an initial site visit, where we diagnosed two HVAC units. The 2023 3-ton Goodman heat pump was operating efficiently, while the 2007 2-ton GrandAire unit revealed significant issues, including a failing return plenum and a malfunctioning transformer. Prioritizing safety, we promptly turned off the problematic unit to mitigate fire risks and recommended its replacement. Following client approval we successfully removed the old GrandAire system, capped the supply plenum, and installed a 12-inch flex duct to enhance airflow from the Goodman unit. The project concluded with the Goodman system operating flawlessly, ensuring a comfortable living environment for the residents. With Momentum AC, clients can trust that their HVAC systems are in expert hands, delivering quality and efficiency for years to come.
